Wizkid's new album, "Ayo", which was released late yesterday, was leaked, says the singer.
The Starboy CEO has revealed that his sophomore album ‘Ayo’ (Joy) was leaked without his consent.
Wizkid who had earlier tweeted that his album would drop on September 23, 2014, returned to Nigeria earlier today from the UK to record a song with 2face as part of his Hennessy Artistry headlining activities for the year.
On the unexpected release of the full 19 track album on iTunes, Wizkid said "They leaked my shit!! Its all Good still."See the tweet below.
But it's not all gloom for the singer, Wizkid and his camp quickly took advantage of the situation to drop the album on iTunes, and it has worked magic.
'Ayo' Album is currently number one in iTunes Nigeria. It pushed down Chris Brown's 'X' album to number 2, and it also affected Psquare's album, 'Double Trouble'.
In iTunes America, Wizkid is the 95 album on the charts, In Ghana, his single 'Dutty Whine' featuring Banky W is the number 1 song. In East African Kenya, 'Ayo' album debuts at number 50, but it does better in the UK at the 37 position.
'Ayo' is a 19 track album which contains hit songs such as, Bombay, Show You The Money, Caro, On Top Your Matter, and others. It also contains international collaborations wit Tyga, Wale, and Akon. The production list features Sarz, Shizzi, Uruhu, Spellz, Legendury Beatz, Del B, Dr Frabz and Maleek Berry.
