Pastor Light Monyeki of the Grace Living Hope Ministries wanted his congregants to drink the poison as a demonstration of the power of faith.
He reasoned that if street children can smoke cigarettes made from the "Rattex" poison's powder, popularly known as "nyaope," there will be no harm if people of faith drank it.
